What are some excellent restaurants in Chicago, Illinois or in any part of Illinois?

One of my favs is Brazzar Brazilian Steakhouse. Unlimited meat deleverd fresh to your table and amzing salad bar. It is THE best. Please try it if you can. Other restaurants I like are Grand Lux Cafe, Pappadeux, Banderas. I have alot!!!What are some excellent restaurants in Chicago, Illinois or in any part of Illinois?
The Psistaria in Lincolnwood (make sure you say hi to Peter and that you try the phenomenal Greek dessert wines).

Santorini in Greektown...not quite the Psistaria, but the food and the fireplace are both tops.

Carmen's in Evanston has the best stuffed pizza of them all. Giordano's and Uno's don't even come close.

Bunch of great little Arabic restaurants on Kedzie around Foster and Lawrence. Also don't miss Arun's on Kedzie just south of Montrose...very hard to get in, but totally worth the experience!

Gullivers on Howard is also a wonderful experience. Bot the food and the atmosphere are unmatched. I adore their Veggie Clubs!
Al's on Lake the best burgers in town ghetto fabulousWhat are some excellent restaurants in Chicago, Illinois or in any part of Illinois?

ditto to above but don;t forget

Gibson's (I like the staff in Rosemont)

ditto for Sal y Carvao, but in Schaumburg on Algonquin Rd. (Meat, must...have...more...meat!)

I like the informality of Hackney's in Glenview, and MUST have the onion ring "bird's nest"

I like the quirky Danish fare of Eric %26amp; Me in St. Charles along the Fox river and Foxfire in Geneva for more formal dining and the Little Owl Tavern down the street for fish on Friday nte. I met a lot of extras there when they filmed the "Road to Perdition" along that street in Geneva. but I digress...

Pilot Pete's Restaurant in Schauburg airport, watch the planes lands AND just eat simply there.

And for classic kitchy food. Find the original Billy Goat Tavern in the Wrigley Building sub floor (take the stairway to the lower level street in front of the building, two level of streets). Order a Cheezeboiger, Cheezeboiger, no Pepsi; Coke, no fries, cheeps...just like John Belushi did 30 years ago.
Try Texas de Brazil....in Shaumburg, IL
