Downtown Chicago has some of the best restaurants in the US. You can get anything you want. I think the best steakhouse is Gibsons. Incedible steaks but you will pay for them. Also good is Harry Carey's. For Seafood, Bob Chinns. Once the highest grossing restaurant in the US. Get their Mai Tai's. They are famous for them. Magnums is good as well. Dont miss the pizza. I prefers Gino's East and the original Uno's (not to be confused with the awful chain by the same name). For a great lunch experience go to Lou Magnoti's. It's like an old 50's diner. Any place that is owned by Lettuce Entertain you is good also. Enjoy!

I think you should look at a copy of Chicago Magazine, there are listings of all types of restaurants there as well as the average cost. Keep in mind that fancy and cost and good food do not always have to be linked.

Go to the Signature Room. It's on the top floor of the John Hancock. It's a bit expensive but you get the best view of the city from like 90plus floors up.What kind of nice FANCY restaurants are in downtown chicago IL??
Look. use zagat.com if it's important. i tend to like the local mom and pops for italian. Don't overpay, as it's not cool anymore with gas prices.
