I know you asked about Haray Caray's and the Chicago Chop House, but some of the best chops I ever had were at Ditka's. I highly recommend looking into it. Further, I have a buddy who had his bachelor party there. They have an upstairs room with a bar where you can suck on stogies - I was there for St. Patty's day a couple years back and it was a good time.
According to food critic Phil Vettel, "DA Pork Chop, as the menu calls it, is going to win a lot of fans. The massive chop is cooked through to medium but remains moist and tender, and the slightly sweet green-peppercorn sauce is a worthy partner."

neither, go to either gibsons, or the redhead piano club. trust me, been here my whole life.
Harry Caray's by far. I went there when I visited my mom and it was awesome. Enjoy and Good Luck.
Chop House is good---however I prefer Morton's or Kinzie Chophouse
The Tavern on Rush, Ely's, or The Palm.
Harry Carey's has good potato chips
harry caray's has great food, but the best steak is chop house or gibson's. if you want prime rib, go to lawry's, but it is not really the ambience for a bachelor party.

haven't been to Harry Cary's in a long time but was just at Chop House last week. I'd recommend (although it is noisy) Gibson's over either of the two. If you really want to spend $$$, try "9"
If one has to choose between these two, then Chicago Chop House wins.
But, in fact, these days the best steak at the best high end steakhouse in town is David Burke's Prime House. Hands down, bar none.
It's also the only steakhouse in town that dry ages it's beef.

Since you asked about steak -- I'd have to say the Chop House (between the two choices).
I do like Morton's or Gibson's or even Magnum's for steaks too. The Chop House is right there with all of them.
Harry Caray's has good food to be sure -- but I wouldn't rate it as a top-of-the-line steakhouse.
I like Chicken Vesuvio at Harry Caray's -- one of their specialities of the house and was Harry's favorite meal.
