Gonna be in town for a couple of days this summer and promised my Peruvian wife I'd take her out to eat. She loves Loma Saltado and all that stuff.

Please tell us what you recommend. ThanksWhat are some good Peruvian restaurants in Chicago?
Poalos is supposed to open in June, near North side siteWhat are some good Peruvian restaurants in Chicago?
I remember an episode of Chanel 11 (WTTW) Check Please. They did a review of a Peruvian restaurant but for the life of me I do not recall the name. You could check the web site and see if one is listed.

You could also check http://www.restaurant.com and search for Peruvian restaurants under the cuisine search.

Good luck.

Ok I looked and there are 2 listed on the Check Please site. One is "Taste of Peru" the other is "SushiSambr Rio" it is Japanese cuisine, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine. I don't know about that. I can understand the Brazilian and the Peruvian but to toss in Japan.....oh well. Did not check the restaurant.com site have fun with that one. What are some good Peruvian restaurants in Chicago?
Is that sort of like Brazilian or Argentine food? If so, I would go to Tengo Sur up on Southport. It is in a very eclectic neighborhood and the place itself is wonderful. It is very small and lit mostly by candles. It is very inexpensive and also BYOB. A few doors down is the Music Box theater that has various films both foreign and American. Sometimes they run film festivals. Check them out online. The theater is a classic and has some very beautiful decor.
