I don't know about Sushi, but the area around O'Hare is very busy. There are lots of chain type places around, along with a few pizza places. Most of your fancier places will be in the hotels, and there are MANY of them!! There used to be a nice place in the Ramada called the COpper Trellis, but I don't know if it's there anymore.

I have never been there, but I hear Shoeless Joe's is a fun place to go. If you are here long enough, you may want to check out the Allstate Arena or the Rosemont Theater. Both have pretty good venues (concerts, sporting events etc) and the hotels offer shuttles most of the time. Both places are right near the airport. Enjoy your stay.

Oh yeah. The places in the Sushi places above are all downtown just so you know. You would need to take the train or cab (expensive)
Not far from O'Hare, in the suburb of Schaumburg, IL, is the most amazing sushi place of the many I have tried in the Chicago area:

Japanese buffet -- enormous -- delicious -- fantastic! All the incredible sushi you can eat (the sushi chefs are replenishing the buffet as quickly as the patrons are clearing it), plus hot bar, crab legs, cold shrimp with cocktail sauce, fresh fruit, multiple soups, tempura veggies, pastry bar, ice cream, and made-to-order crepes. One of my best friends calls it The Happiest Place on Earth, and I have to agree.

If you go on your birthday (and can provide ID that says it's your birthday), you get a gift certificate for a free meal there on another occasion.

Have a great time! :-)
