Hey any fantastic seafood restaurants in Chicago for a 25th birthday dinner?

Hey! My fiance will be turning 25 on Jan. 9th of this upcoming year and I want to throw him a surprise birthday dinner for him. I want to try somewhere that's not too expensive so that none of the guests will complain about the prices, somewhere very family friendly, with amazing decor. Just trying to get some ideas here. He only eats seafood so a seafood restaurant is ideal but anywhere else with a good choice of seafood is fine. Thanks in advance!Hey any fantastic seafood restaurants in Chicago for a 25th birthday dinner?

I don't know about prices it costs to eat out unless you go to Popeye's or something.Hey any fantastic seafood restaurants in Chicago for a 25th birthday dinner?
You want fantastic seafood with amazing decor and low prices... that is hard to do. I'd check yelp to help narrow your search a bit and find things in your exact price range. If you consider taking this event into the closest Chicago suburbs (depending on where you live) it should cut down on costs.

For instance, Davis Fishmarket is a pretty good seafood restaurant in Evanston and their prices are pretty good for a seafood restaurant. If you took this place out of Evanston and stuck it in some neighborhoods in Chicago, it'd be pricier. If your guests are into it, they have weekly special prices on Maine Lobster (19.95--down from 27.95-- on Mondays) and King Crab Legs (19.95-- down from 31.95-- on Thursdays). But you might call ahead to make sure that's still the case.

McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurant does a Happy Hour in their bar. It's cheap but it's mostly apps and not a ton of seafood on the bar menu. Check their website for details.

It sounds like you're set on a strictly seafood place, but if you were open to a place that has some seafood options as well as "land-meat," maybe something like HB?

Try a buffet restaurant like Old Country Buffet or Golden Corral. Everyone can pay the same price, and eat what they like. Check beforehand with the restaurant to find out what day has the most seafood. If you expect a crowd, you can reserve a section of the restaurant for your friends. (Throwing him a party usually means that you are paying for the food. So make it clear to the guests that they will pay.)
