I won't start my usual argument about how much Uno's sucks now compared to years long past (okay, maybe I am kinda starting it,) but my favorite Chicago deep dish place is My Pi, on Clark near Diversey. It's not a chain, it's doesn't have a big touristy reputation, it's just great old-fashioned Chicago pizza. For thin crust I like Calo's on the North Side in Andersonville. The restaurant itself isn't very good and their other pizzas aren't great but their super-thin crust is excellent. For stuffed pizza I like Giordano's or Nancy's.
Pete's pizza on Western and Grace...the best!!!! If you are a meat lover order, sausage, pepperoni and american bacon, you will not be disappointed, just enough of everything without it being way too much. They have a huge dining room and parking.What is your favorite restaurant in Chicago that makes pizza?
Great Lake. It is the best pizza I have ever had in my life. Also, it was rated as the best pizza in America. Skip Calo's and go right around the corner to Great Lake on Balmoral.
Edwardo's! They put just the right amount of sauce and as much cheese as I could possibly dream of! I can't stand how some restaurants put a really sweet sauce and not enough cheese. It really ruins the idea of pizza for me.What is your favorite restaurant in Chicago that makes pizza?
