I'm planning my one year anniversary and I want to plan a 2 night stay in Chicago. I would like to find a lake front dinning restaurant where we can dine outside close to the riverfront. If you want river front - try Japonais, the river is not visible from the restaurant but the downstairs lounge is - their terrace and bar are right on the river. Make sure to make reservations for the lounge - ON THE PATIO after dinner (its absolutely necessary to make reservations and specifically tell them what you want) - it gets super busy.
