Chicago Diner is not romantic and I've never had anything there that I really loved. I would take at look at the North Pond Restaurant if I were you. You'll have good choices, but can you get past them having foie gras on their menu for other diners? I have mixed feelings about going to a place that profits from that even if I'm not going to order it. But it IS amazing food. And very romantic.
