Help on budgeting food/transportation money for a vacation in Chicago?

I want to go to Chicago over this spring with my family on a vacation, but I'm having a bit of a problem budgeting food and transportation in general.

Food - there are four of us, and we're all females. Roughly, as restaurants in Chicago go, how much money should I put aside for three days worth of meals?

And transportation. I'm not planning to take a taxi, but how much is bus fare in Chicago?Help on budgeting food/transportation money for a vacation in Chicago?

To save money on food stay at a motel or hotel that includes breakfast. Eat sandwich lunches from a deli, or eat your main meal at noon when it's cheaper, and eat lightly in the evening. The cost of restaurant meals varies wildly depending on the restaurant. For CTA bus costs, CTA cards and transportation planning, go to transitchicago.com for ideas.
