Fancy Restaurants in Chicago to wear my new dress to?

My boyfriend and I are taking a trip to Chicago this labor day and want to have a fancy dinner because I bought a dress a few months ago and he suggested we have a "classy date" and I wear it. I have looked up some places online and have found restaurants that sound good but I'm not exactly sure all of them are appropriate to dress up for. A few I have found are:

Cite

The Signature Room

The Chop House

NoMi

Everest

Alinea

Deca

Charlie Trotters

Tru

I dont eat seafood and i have realized at most of these places that is a large portion of the menu.

Could you give me some suggestions to new restaurants or opinions on the ones listed above? And which would or wouldnt be appropriate to really dress up for.

Thanks so much!Fancy Restaurants in Chicago to wear my new dress to?
You have some great places on your list. The Signature Room is a fantastic place for a new dress. The view is probably the best view you can have from a restauranti in the world. The food is better than "good" and the prices are high but not outrageous.

If price is no issue then Cite, Everest, Alinea, Tru, and Charlie Trotter's will be fine.

Add to your list a few other fine places:

Gibsons...both the Chicago and Rosemont restaurants are 1st class. I would imagin that the new Oakbrook place is too:

Ruth's Chris...great steaks 3 locations:

A relatively new place for the Chicago area has been serving fine food for many years in Washington, DC. Now there's a Sam %26amp; Harry's in Schaumburg...I've been to both places and will return again:

Mortons is another famous Chicago favorite that has restaurants elsewhere throughout the country:

Tru- very fancy, definitely appropriate to dress up

N9NE Steakhouse(not on your list, but wonderful)- downtown Chicago; definitely dress up

Sixteen Restaurant (downtown Chicago on the 16th floor of Trump Hotel and Tower); definitely dress up

Those are some of my suggestions. All of these places have steak and other dishes besides seafood, and all of them are appropriate to dress up in, as they are really classy places. I named these because I am familiar with these. The others may also be very classy, but I have no experience with them. Enjoy! ;)Fancy Restaurants in Chicago to wear my new dress to?
The Chop House has incredible steaks but be prepared and bring lots of $$$$$ because this restaurant is not only dressy but mega-expensive.

The Suisse Hotel has a fabulous restaurant with a really semi-formal dress code ( not as formal as the Chop house) but also pricey.

The Cheesecake Factory is good too but more casual. It's a semi-formal environment but the food is really delicious and the cheesecake is incredible. good luck
The Cheesecake Factory is AMAZING. :)

when i lived in New York, there was a really nice one there.

i'd go there all the time. not only do they have GREATTT cheesecake for desert,

but, their pasta and everything is delicious as well. :D

My personal favorite is, Pasta Da Vinci.

it has sun-dried tomatoes, chicken breast, asparagus, onions, of course noodles, and this really good sweet sauce, with madeira wine in it.

It's delicious, like i said.

i highly recommend it. And i just looked it up, there is one in Chicago. :)
