Can you suggest a good restaurant in Chicago?

My husband is turning 40 on May 7th and I would like to take him to a nice dinner downtown. We live in Indiana and don't eat in Chicago very often. He likes anything from Mexican, steak and potatos to seafood. Thanks for your help. Can you suggest a good restaurant in Chicago?
There is a restaurant I went to once in the Chicago in the Lincoln Park area called O'Brien's. It was a very good food and the prices were reasonable.
i would suggest Bubba Gumps by Navy Pier their food is great and while your eating every now and then they ask you questions about the movie "Forest Gump"

Great meals, great portions, great desserts, great b-day present!!!Can you suggest a good restaurant in Chicago?
Nicks for Seafood

Morton's for Steak (Better than Ruth Chris's)

They both have websites, and both are 5 star rated.

They are also both pricey, but if this is a special occasion, you won't be disappointed with either. These are also both more formal, not your jeans and sweatshirt type. Get dressed up, the food and service are supreme. Enjoy!
