Next week is our first wedding anniversary and I would like to take my wife to some great place. I have just arrived into Chicago from abroad and don't know many places... I would appreciate any advice. Budget is no a problem.
Thank you!Which is the best restaurant in Chicago for a first wedding anniversary dinner?
Located atop the John Hancock Center,
in the heart of Chicago's Magnificent Mile,
The Signature Room at the 95th offers
Contemporary American fare with sweeping views of the city.
The two same contributors keep saying Signature Room and Cite for every question, and while I admit that the views are spectacular, the food is overpriced for what you receive there, so I would avoid places that all the tourists love and stick to local favorites like Rosebud or even better Ruth's Chris. They ask you if you're there for a special occasion when you're making reservations, and they always do something special for you. The food is amazing, the wine even better! If you're looking for a more Continental dining experience, and want to avoid the steakhouses, go to Filippo's on Clark or the Season's Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel.Which is the best restaurant in Chicago for a first wedding anniversary dinner?
Geja's Cafe in Chicago for fondue or Signature Room on 95th at the Hancock building
Try Nick's Fish Market it is very good and has some quite spots to enjoy your dinner with your wife. Service is excellent and the food is very good. They have 3 locations downtown, Rosemont, and Deerfield, even though Deerfield is a different menu. I would suggest either downtown or Rosemont.Which is the best restaurant in Chicago for a first wedding anniversary dinner?

If you're open to Mexican, I can also personally recommend Topolobampo (Frontera Grill's upscale sister, http://www.fronterakitchens.com/restaura鈥?/a> or Adobo Grill (http://adobogrill.com/).
For sheer ambience, I've always enjoyed North Pond:
