Chicago institute of art is a good college. What are some of the best colleges, museums, art galleries, restaurants, and attractions in Chicago?
I go to Robert Morris College, the cheapest private college in IL. They have a campus downtown Chicago, and out of staters get free room and board. Its the best school I've been in. www.rmcil.edu Oh, and the museums, art galleries, and stuff are all near by.
Colleges--it depends what you want to major in, Northwestern and University of Chicago are two great schools.

Museums--Art Institute, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum and The Planitarium are my faves.

Art Galleries--for looking or to actually purchase art? I am not sure of the latter, but for looking go to Art Institue.

Restaurants--check out www.metromix.com, it lists all the restaurants and gives reviews. I could list my faves here, but it would take too long.

Attractions--Sears Tower, Navy Pier, Cubs and White Sox's games, Bears games, again try www.metromix.com--it lists everything that is happening from sporting events to the theater and clubs/bars.What are some of the best colleges, museums, art galleries, restaurants, and attractions in Chicago?

Gotta do the deep dish pizza experience! Uno's or Gino's East. I prefer Gino's East personally. So so so delicious!

I have an alternative to museums if you're into architecture:

Take the subway to the Western suburb of Oak Park (really not that far from the city - heck it's on the train line). There you will find the studio/museum of the late great Frank Lloyd Wright. You can also do a walking tour of like 30 to 40 homes he designed and built, including the world renowned Unity Temple (church). All within a few blocks. The town feels like a "throwback" too. There's an old style ice cream parlor on the main street that hand packs their ice cream (which makes it much richer, creamy, and more delicious). Also, Ernest Hemingway's childhood home is in Oak park too. Lots of history, but overshadowed by all of Chicago's other legendary sites.

If you do sports at all you gotta see Wrigley Field. The oldest active ballpark in America - more architectural history if you will. I'm form the DC metro area, and if I could live anywhere else in America it'd be Chi-town. Great city, you're gonna have a blast!
Just put in Chicago in your search engines. There are a lot of sites that come up with info including tourism, colleges, etc. Also, Gino's East is the best pizza in town! Used to eat there a long time ago.
