How much do Chicago bartenders make? How much do they make at restaurants,sports bars and high-end restaurants

Please tell me how much each of the following maked in chicago: in a restaurant, sports bar, and/or an high-end restaurant. Please tell me how much they would make in the city and how much in the Chicagoland area. Please tell me how much they make hourly NOT including tips. Ok, you're asking a lot... so here goes.



I can't say anything about the city its self out side of it's HARD to get a bartending gig in any really good spots unless you know someone.



As for the burbs, I've been tending bar for 15 years. I can't stand working in a restaurant, you never make much in tips. Pay is usually about $8.00/hr.

Sports bars are anywhere from $6-$8 and on an slow night you'll make $60. Busy night $300 or more.

In a high end restaurant that has good bar activity, attracts some night life etc, your hourly would be the same and you could expect $150 a night on average.
