Anyone have a recommendation for good, small, local (non-chain) restaurants in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago?Good restaurants - Northwest Chicago Suburbs?
There are so many! Depends on what burbs your closest to. Try yelp.com that might benefit you more than me listing off a hundred of my favorites.
There is a place on Northwest Hwy and Oliphant ( I think mapquest it ) called Elliott's Seafood Grill. Haven't been in awhile since I moved but excellent steak and seafood joint. Just so you are not shocked it is a little pricey there. Probably 15 to 35 dollarsa plate) I use to get like a surf and turf thing. It was a steak and scallops. Steak was so juicy and tender and the scallops were like little drops of heaven, light and buttery, not chewy or rubbery. Cooked just right. Great place!Good restaurants - Northwest Chicago Suburbs?
Why dont your try this site?
Bob Chinn's is not a small restaurant but it's one of my favorites in the NW suburbs. Although it's huge, the wait is almost always pretty short. Their seafood is the freshest I've tasted. They always have a couple of specials that change day to day, that's reasonably priced. I believe they fly in their seafood fresh everyday.
